This project involved significant structural modifications and the construction of new internal walls to create bedrooms, each equipped with individual en-suites, suitable for use as a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO).

The existing mechanical and electrical infrastructure did not meet contemporary standards; therefore, we were responsible for coordinating the design and installation of a completely new mechanical and electrical system to accommodate the revised layout.

Additionally, we installed entirely new communal kitchens as part of this project. Other cosmetic enhancements included comprehensive decorations, new flooring, the installation of new en-suites, and the replacement of external windows in accordance with conservationists’ guidelines.

We were also responsible for removing a substantial concrete slab that constituted the previous floor structure. Subsequently, we reconstructed a structurally deficient retaining wall prior to laying stone and block paving in the courtyard area. The new courtyard design includes designated planting areas. All tasks were executed within the context of a highly logistically demanding project, characterised by limited parking and compound space.

To mitigate the on-site challenges, we collaborated with a local church and rented parking spaces from them, for which we expressed our gratitude through a donation.
