The project was split into 3 phases and the practice remained operational in the areas not occupied by Probus; this challenge was met with successful, well organised, pre-planning, ensuring works could be carried out whilst protecting the public and staff from working areas. Where elements of work could not be conducted during working hours, Probus adapted to carry these works out, out-of-hours to ensure the practice continued to operate optimally.

What the project involved

The works comprised demolition/removal of soft furnishings and fittings with some elements of minor structural demolition to create larger areas where required. New stud partitions were erected including a Knauf Safeboard lined partition to separate an x-ray room. New internal doors were installed, including a new Salto fob handle key system. This provided a modern look whilst providing security to area of the practice.

New ceilings, floor finishes and decorations were carried out to give a new, modern and clinical aesthetic. As well the installation of new FF&E providing the practice with new storage and service solutions as required. The waiting area received a new reception desk providing a contemporary and welcoming for the public and staff. The existing M&E was tidied up and extended where required. Externally, the building benefited from new CCTV, signage and bird and bee-boxes, assisting in the project receiving a ‘Very Good’ grade from BREEAM.
