The Community Hub Building was built under a design and build contract, and features a vandal-resistant design, with features such as concealed metal shutters, within the lintels to protect the building’s windows.

The new single storey building consists of a steel frame with facing brickwork on all sides and beam and block flooring. A Bauder Roof system with a roof structure left exposed and spray painted black. An air source heat pump provides heating for the entire building.

The completed project will provide a new multi-use community and sports hall for the public, a new café and accompanying seating area, an office/admin space, accessible toilets and a plant room.

Externally, the landscaping incorporates “soakaway crates” and provides external seating for the general public.
